In 1955 Carlson in exchange for fifty thousand shares of Haloid company stock (a big player in this field) sold his xerography patents which created a joint venture company called Rank Xerox.
Haloid Company made the first public announcement of xerography(dry copy process).
- In 1949, they shipped the first commercial photocopier: the XeroX Model A Copier.
